Ele's Angel Zoo Visit October 24, 2006
Petal is 50 years old and has lived her entire life in the Philly Zoo. Some would say she is accustomed to her small enclosure and doesn't mind it. Others would say that as a wild elephant (she was stolen from her family as a baby), she has certain instincts, though maybe dormant from an inability to express them, and she is suffering from her inability to express them.
